December Alcohol Tracker Wine

On a scale of 0 to Christmas, how much alcohol do you drink?

December is a month when people drink a lot.

Ireland and Russia are countries where people drink a lot.

These two things have a multiplicative effect. So just for my own information I decided I would track how much alcohol I drink in December. Then I gathered it would be nice to share my method.

You can go though life thinking that you only have the odd drink, but then you look at this calendar and realise that drinking a glass of wine on a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and a cocktail at a Sunday brunch means you drink most of the time!

I made 2 versions. Download, print, colour in. Or indeed write in the number of units…

      1. Thank you! But printing out chart and filling in blanks is too much like “doing something.” Why do women always want people…particularly men…to be “doing something?” Just a general question, Dr. Thanks again!

  1. And I was hoping to see little clusters of shot glasses. Let’s see, 5 x 31 = Mardi-Gras beads for decorations, and “Rudolph, that red glow gives such a nice tint to your eyes…”

Doc, you are indeed doubly cursed, here’s to you! I love that scale as well, 0 to Hell-or-high-water. But I can’t believe this post will be gathering the “right sort” to your door — if-you-know-what-I-mean… (Is that George F. licking the salt off of your lemony snicket?)

  2. Drinking could be justified because of cold climate there but some Australians can still drink a lot in a pub with some climate control=air conditioning. I don’t go to pubs because they are expensive but some people are addicted to it the same way as some people are addicted to goong to church on their Sundays Different people are addicted to different pleasures.

    1. Haha, well the thing is that you can go though life thinking that you only have the odd drink, but then you look at this calendar and realise you even drinking a glass of wine of a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and a cocktail at a Sunday brunch means you drink most of the time!

  3. For me, every day is Christmas ๐Ÿ˜€
From late 2007 to earlier this year I drank 2 apertifs, approx. a litre of red wine and a triple brandy per day. Now I’m down to just two to 3 glasses of red per day, but I’m not sure there’s any good reason to stick to that.

  4. Ha-ha! I used to drink a helluva lot. Aging and drinking don’t gel well together. Plus, alcohol isn’t good for your skin. Lol! Alcohol is required whilst dating or in the dating pool. A must! I must admit though that I drank a lot this month… a lot of champagne. And some vodka. A lot for me… I could have consumed a total of about two and a half bottle on my own. Luckily, good expensive champagne would be acceptable, right? Ha-ha!

      1. Haha! I was thinking the same. South Africans drink a lot as well and I’m probably weird to them. I think they, in general, are a people who drink every day. I’d think of myself as an alcoholic if I drank as they do.
